Yahoo has announced the termination of employment (FLE) of the 2000 employees on Wednesday (04/04/2012).Although no official statement, Yahoo Indonesia would be affected by these layoffs.
Yahoo will then focus on its core businesses, namely menberi services to service users and online advertisers.
This means that, Yahoo will discontinue some products that are considered not in the list of the core business of the company from Sunnyvale, U.S..
The question is, how fate Koprol location based social networking? Koprol is a startup company that was bought by Yahoo Indonesia in May 2010.
Satya Witoelar, one of the founder Koprol acknowledged that layoffs are done by the CEO to Yahoo Yahoo influential Indonesia. It is delivered to Kompas.com Satya when contacted via email.
"Global layoff affect the majority of employees at Yahoo's Engineering Center in Jakarta. I can not somersault luck story," says Satya.
From the monitoring Kompas.com, Satya in his blog has written some of the names of employees and the developer Koprol Yahoo Indonesia are included in the 2000 list of Yahoo employees to be laid off.
This blog post though not explain and answer questions about the future of somersault, but it seems to imply that Yahoo did not include a somersault already have hundreds of thousands of members of the business unit are included in Yahoo's core business.
