A total of 10 students from 10 countries including Indonesia over the next 3 months will be based in Surabaya. They will study and explore the diverse cultures of East Java, Indonesia as a form of public diplomacy.
10 State of Art Student Learning Culture in East Java
Together with Studio Studio Tydif designated as a companion to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to-10 students will learn Indonesian language, dance, music, gamelan, ethics, diverse cuisine, and been to several schools and colleges in East Java.
To-10 students are, Winda Rahmawati (Indonesia), Lian yan (China), Rennie Roos (Netherlands), Aslyn Atika Singh (Fiji), Rattana Phgon Kasem (Thailand), Kristyna Arifinova (Czech Republic), Csigi Balazs (Hungary ), Tenitikarawa T Terei (Kiribati), Leslie Adam Buaga (Solomon Islands), and Luagigie Taitaiga (Tuvalu).
Studio Tydif leadership, Diaztiarni said, their activities in order of Arts and Culture Scholarship Program Indonesia (BSBI) held the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
BSBI communal approach aims to optimize the state through the arts and cultural approaches.
"Cultural diplomacy is a tool that is free from political economy, but it is very effective for the development of personal ties between nations that can be directed to the cooperation in other fields," he said, Wednesday (11/04/2012).
BSBI conducted since 2003 and until now meluluaskan 384 alumni from 49 countries who became Friends of Indonesia abroad.
"They contribute to the promotion of Indonesia by RI representatives abroad," he added.
This year, BSBI regular program lasts from 1 April until July 14, 2012. Attended by 50 participants from 36 countries.
They were divided into five groups and distributed in five areas such as Solo, Bali, Makassar, Bandung, and Surabaya.
BSBI program will end with a cultural arts performance titled "Indonesia Chanel" is scheduled to be held on July 14, 2012 in Solo, Central Java.
