President and Managing Director of Reserach in Motion (RIM) South Asia, Hastings Singh said it has been preparing software and applications for BlackBerry smartphones.
"Currently, the application is able to use, but to its software will be launched shortly," said Hastings told reporters during a press conference at ITB building west hall, Jalan Ganesha 10, Bandung, West Java, on Thursday (4/10 / 2012).
Hastings recently attended the inauguration of the BlackBerry Innovation Center at the Institute of Technology Bandung (ITB). According to Hastings, in addition to collaboration with ITB, RIM previously has worked with more than 50 universities, colleges and schools throughout Indonesia with the same theme during the inauguration of the BlackBerry Innovation Center at ITB, Jalan Ganesha, Bandung, West Java.
President and Managing Director, South Asia Hastings Singh RIM said that in more than 50 universities, the institute held a BlackBerry Academic Program, which aims to educate students to explore the science of mobile applications.
"In it we provide materials and application content to educate students, provide support, technical expertise, experience parktis, improve the skills of the BlackBerry, so that in the future these students are most likely to pursue a career in the field of mobile computing," said Hastings told reporters during a press conference in the building west hall ITB, Jalan Ganesha 10, Bandung, west Java, on Thursday (10/04/2012).
By doing so, continued Hastings, this program is one strategy to open markets in Indonesia, as it proved far Indonesia is one of BlackBerry users in the world.
"If Indonesia is a market, automatically broader technology enthusiasts in Indonesia, and most importantly, Indonesia can sell the product to other countries," he said.
