Speaking at a television station in Lebanon, Hezbollah leader Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah said that the drones they had hovered over 'sensitive areas' in Israel. Sensitive area in question is in the Negev desert town of Dimona, where Israel's nuclear facilities.
As expected by Israel, Nasrallah said that the drones are made in Iran, not Russia.
"Sophisticated spy plane we send from Lebanese territory and fly hundreds of kilometers by sea before it finally went into enemy territory and the occupied Palestinian territories," Nasrallah said, quoted by the BBC, Thursday, October 11, 2012.
Nasrallah emphasized that this is not the first time Hezbollah sends drones into Israeli airspace. Formerly, there was three times the Israelis to track any foreign objects that enter their territory. "This is not the first and not the last. Insha Allah," he said.
Drone was successfully entered until 55km into Israel before finally shot down. Although no official details about from where the drone was sent, but an Israeli media suspected drone without weapons was shipped from the port city of Sidon, Lebanon.
