Toll Rates Up to Reduce Density
PT Jasa Marga reluctant to impose a dynamic toll rates. Director
of Jasa Marga, Adityawarman, Thursday, September 19, 2013, stating that
the company's performance would likely be disrupted if the toll rates
down on the hours that are not busy.
"Toll
rates already in effect are already cheap.'s No aspiration for
increased rates is not so solid," said Adityawarman in Jakarta.
This is a dynamic toll rate adjustment based on future toll ticket price. At rush hour, toll rates are more expensive than off peak hours. Toll rates as it aims to reduce congestion at peak hours.
Actually, Jasa Marga support this discourse and never submit it to the government. However, the government rejected the proposal. The reason is, there are no regulations governing the toll rates.
Nonetheless, Jasa Marga was admitted in discussions related to the problem. "We are reviewing and talking about it at every meeting," said Adityawarman.
In
contrast to Jasa Marga, the Indonesian Consumers Foundation (YLKI),
Sudaryatmo, it approved the implementation of this dynamic toll rates. "So not only concentrated in the rush hour," said Sudaryatmo.
Previously, the Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) will prepare a toll road tariff hike decision by 12-15 percent. Later, the rates will be effective one week after the decree was issued.
